About me

My name is Tea Vehovec. I was born in Rijeka, but often traveled and lived with my family or on my own (in Zagreb, Ithaca, Riga, The Hague) and that way connected with different cultures and people. I finished MS in psychology at the University of Rijeka and a MSc in child and adolescent psychology at Leiden University.

Since 2022, I work independently, mainly in Rijeka and periodically in Zagreb. In my work I apply techniques from cognitive and behavioral therapy (for which I’m supervised by mentors from the Croatian Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies).

Parents and caregivers

Support in understanding the functioning and difficulties a child or adolescent is facing, learning ways to help them at home or at school. Adult mental health support.

Children

Learning and improving different skills and abilities – cognitive (attention, concentration, working memory), social skills and communication (with friends, teachers, at school or other environment), emotional regulation.

Young people and adults

Support in understanding and finding solutions to potential difficulties in one’s own functioning or in relationships with others. E.g. improving social skills and communication, emotion regulation, problem solving.
